Liz Sandler is an artist and designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds an MFA in Textiles from Parsons School of Design and a BA from Hampshire College.

Sandler’s current work centers on abstract explorations in textiles, watercolor, and gouache. Emerging from sustained examinations of emotion and states of mind, her practice is intuitive and process-driven. The use of recycled materials in her textile work reflects an ongoing interest in reframing ideas of value, usefulness, and future possibility. Her painting and textile practices often develop in tandem, each medium informing and inspiring the other.
